Note well, I will be on BBC Radio Norfolk this afternoon just after 2pm, talking archive TV with the excellent Stephen Bumfrey, talking being the one thing I can still do largely unhindered. Broadcasting under the influence of co-codamol. Hmmm, let's see how that works. Anyway, the whole affair is part of my campaign to take over whatever fragments of the frequency spectrum Iain Dale isn't using at any given time. Today, Radio Norfolk. Tomorrow, the worl...ah, more likely Radio Suffolk. Still, it's a start.

Yes it's really true Louis! As it happened I was at home, saw your post and at 2 dropped on to the Radio Norfolk live feed. Very interesting programme AND I got to catch up on all the Norfolk news.

I used to visit Norwich a lot years ago on extended stays for work and really liked it there. Even if driving along the A47 in the middle of winter [as was, before the bypasses] was like a journey (I imagine) to the end of the world. Summer, though, was delightful.

The fact that you have to really want to come to Norfolk - no passing trade - is both a strength and a weakness. I particularly like early morning train journeys from Lowestoft to Norwich, through Haddiscoe and Reedham. A journey to the end of the world? Well, nowhere else in the British Isles do you get quite so much sky for your money.

I love Norwich. It's a beautiful city, with a perfect mixture of ancient and modern. It's such a shame that Steve Coogan has made it the naff capital of the UK.

Of course, the area boasts Delia Smith, the only TV Chef that makes things that wouldn't make a horse vomit.

My brother-in-law and his family are all Norwich supporters. My nephew Dan could be the next boy who turned yellow...
