In his Sunday Telegraph review of Turned Out Nice Again, Peter Bazalgette thought I hadn't concentrated enough on the independent production sector. As it turns out, it's a good job I didn't write any more than I did, because former National Museum of Photography, Film & Television curator and good chap Ian Potter has done a whole book on the subject. My copy's on order, and I'll report back further when I've read it, but I suspect it'll be essential reading for anyone interested in recent TV history.

Louis, you should write more books, as they make you blog a lot more!

My recent burst of activity has been a triumph of quantity over quality, though, surely? Just me mithering about Amazon rankings and reviewers who simply don't get where I'm coming from, dahling. Your support is touching in the extreme, though, Mr Rudd. Lovin' your work too.

Nice article. Incidentally, the complete '89 Brits has just been uploaded to YouTube, discovered by someone on an old tape. I'm halfway through it so far, and it isn't going well. IIRC, Cliff Richard is about to tell the audience off for booing Kenneth Baker.

Just realised I put my comment on the wrong thread, the article I was referring to was your one in the Telegraph about John Sergeant. D'oh.

I've just learnt Father Christmas is going to deliver my copy of "Turned Out Nice Again" to Hungary so I'm a very happy chap.
