Group F results and Group G matches

England having given us what we all expected sooner or later, the Idents World Cup becomes the only game in town. ATV flags will be available in all branches of Poundland before the end of the week. And so to the Mike Prince Velodrome in Tamworth for the Group F matches.

Right, let's crack on with the next round:

    Anglia 0 Central 1

Anglia - how did this piece of tat come to
represent East England for so long?
Granada - "From The North"...using a Spanish place-
    -name.
Teledu Cymru - To start with was it anything more than a gesture to Welsh-speakers?
Central - With hindsight, its characterlessness an
    early indication of corporate DGAS?

  2. Bugger, I missed the last one, but I wouldn't have changed any of the results.

Anglia knight 0-1 From the North - Granada
From the North - Granada 1-0 Teledu Cymru dragon
Teledu Cymru dragon 0-1 Central cake mark 1
Central cake mark 1 1-0 From the North - Granada
Teledu Cymru dragon 1-0 Anglia knight
Anglia knight 0-1 Central cake mark 1.

I don't really get how Central is 'characterless', seeing as my other half loves it so dearly. For him, Central is home.

  4. Think this is after even extra time, but here goes anyway:

Anglia knight 1 - From the North - Granada 0
From the North - Granada 1 - Teledu Cymru dragon 0
    Teledu Cymru dragon 0 - Central cake mark 1 - 1
    Central cake mark 1 - 1 - From the North - Granada 0
Teledu Cymru dragon o - Anglia knight 1
    Anglia knight 1 - Central cake mark 1 - 1

    Predictable loyalty to Anglia.
Unpredictable blogger update means I appeal to Sepp Blatter for improved technology "It was in, Ref".

  6. To be completely fair to Teledu Cymru, I've uploaded my most recent version of the dragon here:

I was commenting on the idents, not the regions they, in this group, IMHO, poorly represented graphically.

  9. Anglia 1 Granada 1
    Granada 1 Teledu Cymru 1
    Teledu Cymru 0 Central 1
    Central 1 Granada 1
    Teledu Cymru 0 Anglia 1
    Anglia 1 Central 0

Previously I've stuck to simple 1-0 scorings, but this one was too tough to resist handing out score draws.

  10. @Westengland The Anglia knight is a hugely impressive model in real life. It was dreadfully shot in the colour ident to make it look much smaller and duller than it actually was. The Westward galleon is a rather small model, but was shot on the ident particularly cleverly to make it look bigger and more impressive. With the right treatment, I reckon the Anglia Knight would work even now.
