    I owe Tony a lot - the inspiration I got from Tony's programmes not only gave me a huge amount of pleasure, but also allowed me to scratch a living doing something I loved - I've just today finished working on a commission for a poster.

    Like Oliver Postgate, Tony is emblematic of everything that used to be great about British television.

    What a sad day.
